Formed in 1998 in response to an apathetic town/scene, 3 guys & a gal set about doing something intelligent with Punk music for a change. "my darling ni-hilist" were formed in 1998 from the decaying corpses of two of Rugby's leading indie/punk bands. The current line up consists of Paul Artaud (lead vocals and guitar), Rob Parkin (guitar and backing vocals), Lynn Gregson (bass guitar) & Sam Peacock (drums). The band set about writing material for their first release "Crushed", which they released in the summer 1999. They embarked on their first short tour in September 1999 to promote the new EP, taking in Cambridge, London, Lowestoft, Norwich, Gravesend, & Leamington. They have since been gigging extensively, selling copies of the EP at various gigs in and around the Midlands, along with short 3 day tours to reach further afield, the highlight being supporting the Napalm Death side-project, Meathook Seed in Birmingham. The band are now in the studio writing new songs, and are mixing the tracks for their latest EP, (as yet untitled). New songs "Ten Point Plan" & "E-Thing" have already gone down a storm at gigs, proving the new direction is working.
